He graduated with a degree in physics from North Carolina State University. Years later, he received his law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2000. Upon passing the North Carolina Bar, Corbett worked as a prosecutor at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office for over a decade.
While there, he worked his way up from prosecuting traffic violations, drug and property crimes to violent assaults; he finished his last four years as a Homicide Prosecutor. Corbett entered private practice in 2012 where he has focused on helping those charged with Homicide and other upper level felonies.
Corbett has earned a reputation as a seasoned trial attorney who strives to obtain the best outcome for his clients in each and every case. He has been admitted to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, named by Business North Carolina Magazine as one of the “top criminal defense lawyers in NC,” and selected as a member of the 2015 class of Legal Elite for Criminal Defense. Corbett received the highest number of votes of the 2015 class.
