AAAN Launch Event Atlanta

The African American Attorney Network, the most innovative and engaged network of African American attorneys around the U.S., launched its Atlanta chapter with some holiday cheer on December 6, 2018. The event, which was sponsored by Council & Associates, LLC, welcomed more than 125 local attorneys, law students, and potential employers.

After two sold-out, standing room only events in Washington, D.C. and Harlem, New York, The AAAN hosted its third event in Atlanta at Suite Food Lounge. Network members in the Atlanta area had the opportunity to meet network founder, attorney Duane King, learn more about the future of The AAAN, and discuss what membership means for members.

Started in 2017, the goal of the Network is to bring talented African American attorneys from around the country together, and to the clients and employers that want to hire them. Past attendees included in-house counsel from major corporations such as Facebook, Google, Northrop Grumman, Bloomberg, attorneys from prestigious law firms like Arnold Porter and Fried Frank, and lawyers from a variety of boutique firms, solo practices, and government agencies.
