Aubrey Carew Sizer is a Northern Virginia estate and elder law attorney providing customized and affordable Estate Planning (including Wills, Living Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directives); Elder Law (including Medicaid Planning, Guardianships, and Conservatorships); and Estate Administration (including advising executors and administrators of estates about post-mortem planning and the local probate process in Virginia) services throughout Northern Virginia, including but not limited to Arlington, Alexandria, Ashburn, Bristow, Burke, Centreville, Chantilly, Gainesville, Fairfax, Falls Church, Haymarket, Herndon, Leesburg, Manassas, Manassas Park, Reston, Springfield, Sterling, and throughout Loudoun, Prince William, and Fairfax counties.

Attorney Hill Duvernay graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in English and from the University of Georgia School of Law where she focused her second and third years of study on Trial Practice and Criminal Defense. She is proud of her reputation as an Attorney who is not afraid to go to trial, but who also possesses the finesse and wisdom to negotiate and settle disputes. Attorney Duvernay is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Candace Alynn Hill Duvernay is from Ellenwood, Georgia and has practiced law in McDonough, Georgia since the Firm opened its doors in 2009. Attorney Hill Duvernay assists clients in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury, trusts and estates and family law. Attorney Duvernay is compassionate, caring, and tenacious when it comes to advocating for her clients. In her spare time, Attorney Duvernay gives back to the community by volunteer coaching her high school alma mater’s mock trial team.

I knew I wanted to be a trial attorney when I saw Blair Underwood and Jimmy Smits on L.A. Law.  I have had over 30 jury trials working for the City of New York, an insurance defense firm and the Oregon Department of Justice.  Performing in front of a jury is one of the most satisfying experiences I’ve ever had—win or lose.  I think I am an actor at my core.  Odd because I am also a cinephile:  I love movies by Clint Eastwood, Akira Kurosawa, Antoine Fuqua and John Woo.  I sympathize with the tortured hero and the lost cause. I am a devout capitalist; hate bullies; root for the underdog; and believe in the system.  Reasons why I became the first Director of Civil Rights for the Oregon Attorney General.  Before moving to Oregon, I drafted judicial opinions as a Principal Law Clerk for a New York State Supreme Court Justice.  I started my legal career as a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, after graduating from law school.  I now have a general practice law firm, HARMON JOHNSON LLC, that focuses on discrimination, civil rights violations and wage theft. I also love teaching.  Several women in my family were teachers and professors.  This inspired me to be an adjunct professor, and a high school and college trial advocacy Coach.  I have also taught trial skills to attorneys from across the country as a National Attorney General Training and Research Institute faculty member.  I am a Libra.  And I love to cook, write and do home improvements in my spare time.  I have sworn off Starbucks, Waffle House, and Hobby Lobby to name a few.  I also refuse to watch anything NFL—games, highlights, updates, documentaries, etc.—until Colin Kaepernick gets at least a try-out.

Aimee Griffin is the Managing Attorney for The Griffin Firm, PLLC.  The Griffin Firm is committed to economic empowerment through estate planning.  The Griffin Firm currently has offices in Washington, DC; Baltimore and Prince George's County, Maryland; Atlanta, Georgia; and Durham, NC. The Griffin Firm is committed to building supports and networks that will educate the community on ways to create, protect and transfer wealth.

Mr. Miles was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He attended Friends Academy before heading to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. There he studied for his B.S. in Industrial Management. Immediately after college, he attended The University of Maryland School of Law.  Returning back to New York, he began his career as a tax attorney working in the tax department at two accounting firms: Edward Isaacs and Company and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Mr. Miles later served as an Assistant Vice President within the Global Tax Department at Merrill Lynch in New York City. Upon relocating to Atlanta, he continued to work in the tax field at Alvarez & Marsal Tax Advisory Services and in the Tax Departments of Cingular Wireless and AT&T.  In 2009, his first wife passed away from cancer. That experience caused a shift in his practice from just Tax amd Business Planning to include Estate Planning and Probate. Over the course of time, Mr. Miles realized that planning for death only was not sufficient. In the end, "you can only pass on what you  keep." As a result, the Law Office began to emphasize Asset Protection planning incorporating both long term care planning and creditor protection planning into the process. Currently, Mr. Miles incorporates various aspects of his background to handle Estate Planning, Tax Law and Probate.

Romola, has a transactional practice, specializing in Business Formation and Sustainability, Wills, Trusts and Estates. We provide legal services to members of the LGBTQI community, seniors, filmmakers and other artists, non-profits, and small business owners.
